2 square yards of reusable cheesecloth. We cut ours into 18" square pieces to use for draining cheese. Please be aware that this cheesecloth has a much tighter weave than the stuff sold at grocery stores. The stuff sold at grocery stores will not do a good job draining your soft cheese.
To use: - Place a colander in a bowl - Line colander with cheesecloth - Pour cheese into cheesecloth - Gather the four ends together - Use a rubber band to tie hang cheesecloth (we hang it from the handle of our kitchen cabinets - Place a bowl underneath cheesecloth to catch dripping whey
When cheese is finished, remove from cheesecloth and wash cloth in cold water to remove cheese residue. Allow cheesecloth to dry and boil it in water to sterilize before using again.
