Two Different Recipes

Which Recipe is Best?

We have two different recipes available for our solid lotions and lip balms. The red label is our original recipe and the orange label is our mango butter recipe. (In case you were wondering, the mango butter recipe uses mango butter but it does not smell like mangoes).

So which one is better?

Neither. They’re just different.

Over the years we've had some people unable to use our original recipe because they were allergic to one of the ingredients. As a result, we created the mango butter recipe to give them an option. Both recipes do contain cocoa butter and beeswax (sorry if you're allergic to either of those!).

So what's the difference between them other than ingredients?

The original recipe has a higher melting point and feels a little more “solid”. The mango butter recipe has a lower melting point and feels a little more “slippery” (in a good way).

Both recipes are excellent and we recommend that you try them both in a small size to see which one you prefer.

Here are the ingredients in each one:

Original Recipe (Unscented): Soybean oil; Beeswax; Sunflower oil; Cocoa butter; Shea butter; Vitamin E.

Mango Butter Recipe (Unscented): Sweet almond oil; Coconut oil; Beeswax; Avocado oil; Cocoa Butter; Mango Butter.
