After last month’s very long newsletter, I have a simple and short one for you this month! We have one new soap, a really funny video, and several new podcast episodes. And of course a newsletter special for you!
New Soaps
Our much-loved Lilac Soap is back as this month’s Seasonal Soap. It is one of Indigo’s favorite soaps and many of you have been asking when it will be back. Jim has made quite a few, but once they’re gone, they won’t be back til next Spring.
In March, we introduced our calendula soap. It was a huge hit and we quickly sold out of it. For those of you who have used it, please send me some feedback on what you thought of it! Jim has made more and it is on the curing rack. It should be available again some time in May.
Large Lotion Sticks
Last month we asked for feedback on which tube was preferred for the large lotion sticks – the deodorant style tube or the round push up tube. The responses were pretty much split 50/50. Once we get the round tubes back in stock (hopefully some time this month), Brett is going to try to keep both of them in stock. We’ll let actual purchases determine which one (or both) we eventually settle on. Please be aware that it is a lot of extra work for Brett to keep inventories of both styles, so there may be times when it is one or the other.
Scottsburg Property Update
We told you last month that we got approval for building on our property. I’ve detailed our building plans in this blog post. I hope you’ll read it as it explains some of our history and what will be happening with the expansion of Goat Milk Stuff.
Podcast
My new podcast – Busy Mom’s Survival Guide – has been going really well. Since the last newsletter, I have recorded three new episodes:
The Importance of Sleep
How to Eat Enough Fruits and Vegetables
Drink Your Water…or Else!
I hope you’ll find some time to listen to them and that you learn something new. If you leave a comment on the most recent episode or rate the podcast on itunes, you are automatically entered into a GMS gift certificate giveaway on the next podcast episode. You can tune in to see if you won and claim your gift certificate. If there is anything you want to hear me talk about, or questions that you have, you can email me or leave a message at 240-230-SOAP.
Easter
Easter is right around the corner and Goat Milk Stuff soaps and other stuff make a wonderful gift. If you get your order in by midnight on Tuesday, 4/3/12, we will ship it out on Wednesday. If the USPS does its part, it will arrive by Saturday. We pray that everyone enjoys their Easter and celebrates the sacrifice that was made for each of us.
Tornado Update
I just wanted to take a moment to say thank you to those who supported us in our effort to help the tornado victims. The outpouring of gift cards and clothing was truly wonderful and very, very much appreciated. While everyone affected is still dealing with the aftermath, they are all starting to settle into a new normal. Thanks for all your prayers and tangible support!
Homestead Happenings
It’s garden time around here. Emery’s lilac bushes are in full bloom, the asparagus is up, and lots of weeding is underway. The children are spending most of their free time running around and playing outside. But when it’s rainy, they come inside and play dress up.
Apparently one day Emery got inspired. I knew nothing about it until I was working on my computer editing some of our “favorite soap” videos and came across this video. It is really funny and I hope it brings a huge smile to your day!
Newsletter Special
The March newsletter special is a free lip balm with the code “spring” (no quotes) and a minimum purchase of $20. If you have difficulty using the code, please read these directions: Using a Coupon Code. If you complete your order without properly using the coupon, we will adjust your account with reward points.
We thank you so much for all of your support of our family and our business. We thrive on hearing from happy customers who enjoy everything we make!
