I know that everyone has been anxiously patiently awaiting the September newsletter. Sorry for the delay, but we were on vacation for the beginning of September, and I didn’t think it was fair to the ladies covering GMS to send out a newsletter while we were gone. But we’re back now and well rested and ready to get your orders out to you the same day you place them!
New Soaps
Our newest soap is actually an old soap with a twist. We’ve made another scrubby soap with coffee grounds. Only this time we’ve scented it with anise essential oil. For those of you who don’t know what anise smells like, it is reminiscent of licorice. We love scrubby soaps around here, and this one is no exception.
Shipping to a Different Address
We’ve been getting a lot emails lately about how to ship to a different address when placing an order. I thought the easiest way to explain is with a video showing step by step how to do it. Here is my first attempt at a screen capture video. Please let me know if you find it helpful!
Unscented Shampoo Bars
We unexpectedly sold out of our unscented shampoo bars. They are now ready to ship and are safe to use, but they’ll last longer and be more gentle if you let them cure until mid-October.
Feedback Contest
We’re always so thankful when people leave feedback on our different products. It helps others who are new to Goat Milk Stuff get some opinions on the quality of our stuff and which items they should try. We are holding “Stuff of the Week” contests where each week, someone receives a $10 GMS gift certificate. This week’s product is the Ginger Lime soap. Please only leave feedback if you’ve tried the soap. Details can be found on the contest page or this video:
Fall Festivals
The only festival the Jonas family will be doing this Fall will be Madison Chautauqua in Madison, IN on September 24th and 25th from 10-5. We’re going to miss seeing everyone at all the festivals, but we simply no longer have the time to make all the soap we need to make and still go out to all the shows. We hope you understand!
Homestead Happenings
We’re getting the goats ready for winter at Goat Milk Stuff. That means bringing in our supply of winter hay. We store square bales in the hay loft, but we also rely on a large supply of round bales. Getting the round bales requires Farmer Frazier delivering them on his tractor. This is always a big event as the boys have to manage the gates and the goats while trying to hitch a ride on the hay wagon. Watch the adventure:
Once the hay bales were in, we got some goat sitters and headed off for a vacation at the North Carolina shore. We had a wonderful, relaxing time together enjoying the sand and surf:

Newsletter Special
Since we only have one limited addition bar of soap available, we’re going to give you a choice for your newsletter special for the month of September. You can receive a free lip balm with the code “hay” or a free sparkle fruit limited edition bar with the code “bale”. Both require a minimum purchase of $20 and you can only use one code. Please follow these steps:
1. If you are a new customer, register by clicking on the "Register / Login" link at the top of the website.
2. If you are an existing customer, log in to your account by clicking "Register / Login" at the top of the website. (Note: If it says "My Account" then you are already logged in.)
3. Go shopping and make sure you add a limited edition bar or a lip balm to your shopping cart.
4. If your subtotal is $20 or greater, go to the shopping cart page, and scroll to the bottom of the page. Under where it says "Clear Cart" "Update" and "Checkout" in orange ovals, it will say "Redeem a Coupon Code". In this box enter the code "hay" or “bale” (do not use quotation marks) depending on which special you are choosing. You can only use one code.
5. Your coupon expires midnight September 30th. It will not work after that date.
Troubleshooting:
If it does not say "Redeem a Coupon Code" then you are not registered and logged in. If it says "coupon invalid" then you did not add a limited edition bar or lip balm, your subtotal is not $20 or greater, or you've already used the coupon code.
We thank you so much for all of your support of our family and our business. We thrive on hearing from happy customers who enjoy everything we make!
