Indiana Alpine Dairy Goats
We bought our first two goats in 2005 in order
to provide healthy, raw milk for our growing family. We
quickly fell in love with goats and expanded our herd.
In 2008, we replaced all our initial goats (a motley crew of nubians, lamanchas, saanens, and crosses) with a small,
registered herd of alpines. It was so difficult saying
good-bye to our first goats, but they are all settled at their new
homes, and we know we made the right decision.
We're very pleased with our
alpines and their milking abilities. All of our new goats are show
quality animals. Some of them have been shown previously
and done very well in the ring. We currently do not show
as life is just too busy raising our own 8 children. But as our own children grow, we
may join 4H and let them try their hands in the show ring.
Our animals are all tested CAE free. Kids are raised on heat
treated colostrum and pasteurized milk. We drink our milk
raw, so healthy goats are very important to us.
Our small herd is located in SE Indiana. We are about half
an hour north of Louisville, KY. If you need any
additional information, please feel free to contact us.
