We heat our house with wood all winter.We love sitting around the fire as a family and hang out there as often as possible.
It’s coming up on heating season, so we had the chimney professionally cleaned:

I was actually very surprised that we didn’t get a rousing version of Chim-Chiminee from Mary Poppins. The chimney guy said he hears that song all the time. LOL
I remember my dad having to do this growing up 🙂 he'd always get frustrated at the mess hehe.

Im planning to go all "natural soap" with my kids.. Ive used natural soaps like this for years now, but just thought it be weird to use it with my kids, not sure why. Im making that step tho! 🙂

That’s a lot of creosote at least it’s been cleaned so the fire department doesn’t have to pour fire extinguisher dust down the chimney
