Play doh

I’ve been very sleep deprived lately because I don’t sleep well when Jim is away from home. Since it was a Sunday morning (and I didn’t have to ship internet orders), I decided to sleep in.

At some point Indigo came in and said (in a whisper voice), “Mommy, can we play with play doh?”

My sleepy self said, “Sure, just clean up the dining room first.”

Apparently they did, b/c when I woke up, I found them playing nicely:

After I took this photo, I looked at Jade and said, “Jade, why are you eating the playdoh??”

Jade: “I was just pretending, Mom. I thought I should taste the pizza I made.”

Apparently they were all making food (except for Jade who was making a “special thing”).  I think that’s code for “I don’t know what I’m making”:

What was even better, was they cleaned up after themselves without me even having to ask.  Wow!  Maybe I should sleep in more often. LOL

  1. My little boy LOVES playing with his play dough. My mom used to make home made play dough for me when I was little. She saved the recipe, so now I can make it for my little man. I love the smell of it, it reminds me of my child hood. If you ever feel like making some home made play dough….
    Dry Stuff
    2 cups flour
    1 cup salt
    3 tsp cream of tarter
    Wet Stuff
    2 cups boiling water
    2 tbs oil
    food coloring
Mix the wet stuff into the dry stuff and kneed it till it's mixed really well.

  2. Do you people have a facebook fan page? I looked for one on twitter but could not discover one, I would really like to become a fan!
