Homeschool Creativity – Camouflage

The entire Jonas family is currently in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania selling soap at the Pennsylvania Christmas Show.  This is our first time here and we are all working very hard to share our soap with as many people as possible.

I say “we” but I really mean “they” because I’m not actually selling any soap.  The reason???

I lost my voice!

I don’t think I’ve ever lost my voice before.  It’s not right.  A mother really shouldn’t be able to lose her voice.

It’s very difficult to get the children’s attention when you can’t talk louder than their bickering.  Especially if you’re driving, losing your voice is NOT a good thing. Because the children just ignore the waving of your hands.  (Don’t ask me how I know).

It’s just so wrong.

But… since I did lose my voice, Jim sent me back to the hotel early from the Christmas show.  This way I could get my daily computer work done early.  The goal is for me to get to bed early so I can actually heal.

I’m sitting at the desk in my hotel room (I did mention it’s a suite – didn’t I?  Good job, Jim!)  I’m trying to figure out what to blog about.  I admit I’m drawing a blank, so I decided to share some pictures that I had forgotten about, but recently found.

If you’ve been reading my blog, you know that I work hard to foster creativity in my children.  Here’s one more example of them taking advantage of some “wasted time“.

They decided to camouflage their swing sets:

They’re actually inside there:

You can’t see them, can you?

I’d say they did a pretty good job!

  1. Do you people have a facebook fan page? I looked for one on twitter but could not discover one, I would really like to become a fan!
