A Swirling Masterpiece

Indigo wanted me to show everybody the amazing job she did swirling the patchouli soap that her Daddy made:

Goat Milk Soap

Doesn’t it look beautiful?

I don’t have a photo of her swirling it, because she was finished and gone by the time I got the camera out to the soap room.

But, she’s really getting very talented at swirling soap.

You see, swirling soap is definitely an art form that some people are good at and some people… let’s just say they need more practice.

Most of the time, we can actually tell who swirled the soap just by looking at it.

One day a few months ago, Erica for the first time helped Jim to swirl the soap. She was proud of her effort and the job she had done.

A short time later, Indigo walked into the soap room.

Indigo: “Erica, did you swirl that soap?”

Erica (squaring her shoulders, lifting her chin, and smiling): “Yes, I did it all.”

Indigo: “I could tell, it looks like Jade did it.”

And after unkowingly delivering that crushing blow, she calmly walked out of the room, oblivious to Erica’s slumping shoulders.

I’d like to say Jim and I were careful of Erica’s feelings, but we both just burst out laughing.
