Candlemaking

The younger children and I spent Sunday afternoon making candles for Mother’s Day. Indigo and Jade put the warning sticker on the bottom of the candles tins:

While Hewitt stuck the wicks to the bottom of the tins:

I did all the candle pouring (which is why there are no photos of that part).  Fletcher and Indigo tabbed more wicks for us when we ran low:

The children really enjoyed it:

From left to right, we made:

  • Oatmeal, Milk & Honey
  • Lavender
  • Honeysuckle
  • Pomegranate Lemonade
  • Black Raspberry
  • Luv Spell
  • Lilac
  • Strawberries & Champagne
  • Pink Sugary

We’re making them available for Mother’s Day with a bar of soap and an organza bag.  I’ll be putting them up on the website in the next couple of days and will announce it in the newsletter on May 1st.  It is called a scent pack and it will look like this:

We filled every single candle tin (124) that I had, and I’ve got more candle tins on order in case that isn’t enough.  The house smells ridiculously good right now. LOL
