Hungry Baby Goats

We bottle raise our baby goats.  When they are first born, they’re all fed with an individual bottle. Once the babies are drinking well from their bottle (after 2-3 days), we switch them over to a lambar.  A lambar is just a communal milk jug with many nipples sticking out of it.

The kids get really good at drinking from it.  They’re funny the way they fight over the nipples. They each think whichever nipple makes the most noise must be the best one so they fight over that one.

The boys (usually Greyden) keep adding milk to the lambar until everybody’s tummy is full.  It’s a great system!
