Making Goat Milk Soap with Colter

As a homeschooling family, I don’t want my children to just memorize facts, I want them to be able to think analytically and learn how to make good decisions. In this video, Colter talks about his role at Goat Milk Stuff, but if you listen carefully, you can hear how he puts into practice his critical thinking skills.

I am so proud of Colter and the young man he is becoming.  He is smart, responsible, capable, and he knows how to plan and to think!

  1. Informative video Colter ! Way to go ! I have a question about one of the ingredients, if I may ? You mentioned Lye. Is that a natural product ? I remember My Mom mentioning something about it from the olden’ days of when my Grand Parents made soap on the farm.

    • You can make lye by running water through wood ashes. They didn’t know the strength of the lye by doing it that way. Our supplier makes the strength of the lye uniform so we know exactly how much lye we have when we make our soap. PJ
