Brett turned 17 two months ago.  I’d like to say that we celebrated it right on time.  But… ummm… well… We didn’t.  

We just celebrated her birthday this week.  

Don’t get me wrong.  We sang Happy Birthday to her on her actual birthday.  But then we piled into the Beast and headed to the Christmas show to sell soap.  Fortunately we remembered to bring her breakfast birthday cake so everybody ate some in the Beast.  

We were supposed to celebrate the week after her birthday.  But it was Christmas.  Then it was New Year’s.  And then… I forgot. (See I told you I don’t do it all!)

But we finally remembered and celebrated with our normal traditions.   

Fortunately, Brett wasn’t upset by the delay. She could have had the celebration on her actual birthday.  But when given the choice, she chose to get an extra hour of sleep instead.  

I knew I was raising her correctly! LOL
