Kids Cooking – Keurig Oatmeal

Most mornings, the children make their own breakfasts. One of their “quickie” breakfasts is instant oatmeal. It became even faster and easier for them to make once Grandma bought us a Keurig*.

They take their instant oatmeal and a bowl:

Add the oatmeal to the bowl:

And add the hot water from the Keurig*!

The finished result:

It’s extremely easy for them to make, and it’s faster than heating up water the normal way!

  1. Never thought of making oatmeal like this! Good job! I don’t have one of those machines so we make it in the microwave. But my sister has one, and when we go visit her family in Texas, we will give it a try!

    • I fought having a Keurig for a LONG time. I did NOT want one because the k-cups are so expensive. But I admit – I love it. LOL PJ

  2. Such a great idea! How in the world have I never thought of this before? My kids have been loving it.

    • Isn’t it great? I can’t take credit for it. One of the kids thought it up. 🙂 PJ

  3. This is a great idea! I don’t have a Keurig at home, but there is one at school (I’m a teacher.) I need to keep some instant oatmeal on hand, and a bowl and spoon, for the mornings that I forget to eat breakfast. Yes, I did say “forget” sigh! Too much running through this brain of mine. Mornings are often kids first (my own) and momma second. I even went to school with two different shoes one morning! lol

    • LOL – that is too funny. Instant oatmeal is so easy to keep on hand. Hope it makes a difference for you! 🙂 PJ
