Hang 10 Episode 2: The Jonases Invade New York City

We LOVE to travel!  We don’t get to do it as often as we would like because of the goats, but we always take advantage of every opportunity that comes our way.  Normally it takes a LOT of time to plan a vacation for the ten of us.  We have to figure out sleeping arrangements for ten people, how to travel with ten people, where to take ten people, how to pack for ten people, and how to feed ten people.  And that’s the easy part!  Figuring out how to keep Goat Milk Stuff running smoothly and making sure the goats are properly cared for takes even more work.

So imagine the craziness when we found out we had to be in New York City in 5 days to film The Huckabee Show!  Jim managed to pull it all together and we had the most AMAZING trip.

Watch the video to hear what we did and what the children thought of NYC.

Pretty impressive keeping the ten of us (plus Grandma) all together in Times Square, don’t you think?

What about you – have you been to NYC?  What’s your favorite part?

  1. I’ve never been to New York.. I live in Chicago.. So that’s good enough for me. ha… But after I watched your video, I just thought what a nice family you have. I can only imagine how the kids viewed such a big city. It’s great that they were able to experience basically the opposite of what they are used to in the country. They will never forget it.

  2. Oh my gosh what a logistical nightmare! What do you do with all the goats and the rabbits and the chickens? We have 1 dog, 1 cat, 6 large parrots, 2 chickens (Colter & I would have a lot to talk about!) and only one child and preparing for travel is a lot of work. I can’t even imagine coordinating travel for your bunch!!!

    • It is pretty crazy. The person who usually watches my goats was actually in Texas that week! I had two people (one who was newly pregnant and nauseous) and another who had never milked a goat before take care of them. There was a lot of praying for them and the goats. 🙂 PJ
