Keratosis pilaris is a skin condition that produces small, often hard bumps on the skin's surface. We have many customers that use our goat milk soap and find relief from their kp symptoms (see the testimonials below).
Everyone's skin is different and reacts differently, bu these are the soaps that receive the most positive feedback from people dealing with keratosis pilaris. We recommend trying the different goat milk soaps over time to see which one offers you the most relief.
- Purity goat milk soap - an unscented soap made with raw goat milk that is very gentle for keratosis pilaris prone skin.
- Tea Tree goat milk soap - the purity soap with tea tree essential oil added. Tea Tree essential oil is anti-bacterial, anti-viral, and anti-fungal.
- Organic Castile goat milk soap - made with only organic extra virgin olive oil and raw goat milk, this soap will not lather as well as the purity (it is more lotion-like), but is the gentlest soap we make and the one we recommend for hyper-sensitive skin and for newborns.
- Calendula goat milk soap - similar to the castile soap, but with calendula flowers infused and castor oil added to increase the lather.
- Activated Bamboo Charcoal - the purity goat milk soap with added charcoal. If you've never used a charcoal soap before, be sure to test it on a small portion of skin first as a small number of people are sensitive to charcoal.
In addition to full sized bars, each of these goat milk soaps is available in half bars or travel bars (see the size comparison chart) so you can test them on your skin.
Some people have found that once they get their keratosis pilaris under control, they are able to switch to a Goat Milk Stuff scented soap. Others continue to use one of these soaps. You need to test them on your skin to see what works best for you.
If the soaps and lotions alone don't offer enough relief, you may want to also try our laundry soap to get all the chemical detergents out of your sheets, clothes, and towels. These chemicals may be further irritating your skin and causing problems with your keratosis pilaris.
Everyone's skin is different, so we can't promise that our goat milk soap will offer you relief from your keratosis pilaris symptoms. But unless you are allergic to one of the ingredients, the soap should not aggravate your symptoms.
We regularly pray that our soap will help whoever needs it and we hope it will help you (or your loved one) find relief from keratosis pilaris as well.
Dear PJ and Family, I feel we need to share our experience with your Purity & Laundry soaps. My daughter has suffered from severe keratosis pilaris for over 3 years and we have had many visit with little results from a dermatologist. After many hours of online research goats milk soap was mentioned for people who suffered from keratosis pilaris. As I searched for a quality goats milk soap I came across your website with good reviews. With continued use of these products for about 9 months now we have seen a good improvement of the severe keratosis pilaris on my daughters arms. She still had some patches and scarring of the skin, but her arms look the best I've seen in years. Thank you for these great products.
Love the purity bar soap. I have very sensitive skin and the detergents and preservatives used in other soaps irritate my skin. My son has keratosis pilaris and the purity soap keeps his skin free of bumps and cleared up teen acne. Last but not least, it soothes my husband's rosacea. It's the only soap my whole family uses. Love the fresh, clean scent and lather too!
Hi Goat Milk Stuff! I've been meaning to write you this for a long time, and apologize for just now getting around to it. I've been using your soaps since 2009, and love them!! I used to experiment with lots of different scents and never found one that I didn't like. In 2011 I gave birth to my first child, and following her birth I noticed lots of bumps on my arms. Not only were these bumps unsightly, I also had no clue what they were or how to get rid of them. Through research I discovered that they were Keratosis Pilaris, and from all the message boards I read, no one was really ever to "cure" them. I resigned to the notion that I would always have them, but the look of them bothered me so much! As my daughter approached a year old, I noticed that she too had these bumps and they were present on the backs of her arms, tops of her legs, and her bottom to lower back. I lotioned her religiously as this was the only thing I read to help. Then, I was on your website doing my biannual order and I happened to read a review where someone mentioned that the organic castile helped with their daughters KP. I decided it was worth a try, and after about 2-3 weeks of use, my bumps were disappearing!! At this point I've switched to the calendula, but they continue to get fewer and fewer in number, and now my arms are smooth again!! My daughter's problem areas are also noticeably better, and her skin is much smoother!!! I just really wanted you all to know this, so that maybe you could mention KP in the list of "may help with" skin conditions that you list in the descriptions of the organic castile and calendula. Thank you for your great products!!
Ever since I was a young girl I always struggled with keratosis pilaris (small red bumps in the backs of my arms and thighs). I tried many things from creams to special soaps but nothing has worked until I got a sample of goat milk stuff soap. After only 2 weeks of using the "luv spell" soap the bumps on my arms and leg are gone. Plus it smells amazing and makes my skin soft. I LOVE IT!
This is the best soap I have ever used. I've tried other all- natural goat milk soaps, but none feel as silky and smooth as these. It like washing with silk. The small white bumps (keratosis pilaris) on my arms have gone away since I've used these soaps. Thank you!
For keratosis pilaris on my boys (2.5 y/o twins) I have found the purity and the tea tree both work great in addition to a omega 3 supplement daily.
A HUGE thank you! I have been meaning to write for some time on how happy I am I found out about your soaps. My son has eczema and Keratosis Pilaris (tiny bumps on the legs, arms, and cheeks). We were told to use non irritant soap and even the mild soaps still dried his skin out. When I first ordered I told him he was getting new soap (he's 3) and now every time he gets a bath he grabs the soap and proudly says 'My new soap!' We are supposed to keep his baths short because of his skin. Now he can stay in longer and play because I know his skin is getting moisturized (naturally!) by the soap. As a mom this makes me so happy because the doctors say we should rub lactic acid acid-based lotion onto his skin and rubbing any potentially acid base lotion onto my sons skin is not something I would like to do. My husband and I use it and I cannot believe the difference in my skin! My feet are soft again! Even my husband loves the soaps. He asks when we'll try a new scent even the 'un-manly' ones. :) I received my most recent order today and was shocked to see you included another soap with the discount from your newsletter! When I placed my order I was wondering if you were having a special on the extra soap but hadn't received a newsletter. As soon as I hit 'submit' I received your newsletter and saw the special. Thank you to your whole family for what you do. If we lived closer I would hug you all. My God continue to bless your family. Thank you again for doing what your doing. You have a customer for life.
