Storing Caramels

plus minus

Caramels are best stored at room temperature (or slightly cooler) in an airtight container out of direct sunlight. They are best used within 3 weeks of being made. After this point, they are still good to eat, but the sugars may crystallize which may give the candy a grainy texture.

If you do not think you will consume them within 2 weeks, they can be stored in an airtight container in the freezer for up to 6 months.
