When you want a clean smooth shave without any added fragrance, this is your best bet. This is an amazing shaving soap with a full, thick lather.
It is great for both men and women. If you've never shaved with a shaving soap before, here is some information Jim wrote on how to shave with goat milk shaving soap (There is even a video of Emery giving Jim a shave!)
Goat Milk Shaving Soap Benefits
Nourishing, gentle and easy-to-use, Goat Milk Shaving Soap makes the job of shaving for men and women a pleasure. When shaving your face, the creamy lather makes accurate shaving easier, caring for your skin by leaving it super hydrated along the way. For legs and other body parts, the visibly creamy lather prevents you from missing hard-to-reach areas.
Every Goat Milk Shaving Soap contains skin-loving ingredients to keep your skin nourished and protected against hard water and the elements. Our favorites include clay to help your razor glide smoothly over your skin, and aloe to relieve any possible razor burn or irritation.
How to use Goat Milk Shaving Soap
Getting a great shave isn’t hard, but there are a few handy steps we’ve created to help you get the closest shave possible without irritating your skin.
- Thoroughly dampen the area you’re going to shave: Taking a shower or holding a moist washcloth over the area helps thoroughly wet the hair, leading to less irritation.
- Use great tools: A high quality razor, shave brush, mug, and Goat Milk Shaving Soap are the perfect toolkit. Wet your shaving brush and stir it around the mug with the soap inside. Once you’ve created a foamy lather, you know you’re ready to start applying the soap foam! While using a shaving brush will build the most lather, many people find simple hand-lathering to be adequate for a smooth shave.
- Technique: Follow the direction of your hair growth with each stroke of your razor. Keep strokes short while shaving your face, and always use gentle pressure.
- Keep difficult areas wet: Rinse your razor after every 2-3 strokes and ensure you use a good lather around difficult areas. It’s OK if you need to go over some areas again, but make sure you have plenty of lather each time to prevent skin irritation.
- Finish with a cool rinse: Whether you’re shaving your legs or your face, a cool rinse helps close pores and any small nicks in the skin that have occurred during the process.
What does "Unscented" Truly Mean?
The unscented soap varieties smell like soap, yet do not have any added scents or fragrances (including essential oils!) to reduce the risk of irritation. Unscented soap does still have a smell because the ingredients used in soap production contain natural scents that we do not chemically remove. For example, coconut oil smells like coconut oil, milk smells like milk, and unscented soap smells like unscented soap.
If you are hyper-sensitive to scents in general, start with a smaller sized bar to make sure the pure soap smell itself is not irritating.
Please be aware that we make many scented products in our Soaproom. While there is no added scent to the Shaving Unscented Goat Milk Soap itself, when you receive your soap you may be able to smell scents on the exterior of your soap and the packaging it arrives in. If you are extremely sensitive to scent, you can remove the packaging and even wash with the soap once to remove any scent that may have settled out of the air onto your soap.
We would love to someday have a separate building dedicated to unscented products and packaging, but unfortunately, we don't have that ability at present.
Goat Milk Shaving Soap Sizes
We make shaving easy by offering one handy size of Goat Milk Shaving Soap. Each round shaving bar weighs 3.5 - 4 oz. and has a 3" diameter, which fits perfectly in most shaving bowls.
All soaps are weighed after their 6 week curing period. If they fall in the appropriate weight range, they are bagged. Please remember that as Goat Milk Soap ages and cures, it loses some water weight. So if the soap you order is much older than 6 weeks, it may weigh a little less than listed. But the longer soap cures, the harder it gets and the longer it lasts!
Unscented Shaving Goat Milk Soap Ingredients
Raw goat milk; Saponified sweet almond oil, castor oil, coconut oil, jojoba oil, olive oil, palm oil, shea butter; Aloe; Clay; Vitamin E.
Safety Notes
Our Goat Milk Shaving Soap is safe to apply all over your body, except for directly in your eyes. An allergic reaction may be possible, so prior to using all over your face or the area you wish to shave, conduct a patch test on a small area of skin first to discover any sensitivities. If you do have an allergic reaction, stop use immediately.
Packaging Notes
Each Goat Milk Shaving Soap arrives in a breathable cotton drawstring bag with your chosen scent stamped on the front. When your shaving bar is dry, you can store it in this bag for travel. If it is wet, we recommend putting it in a travel container or leaving it in the shaving mug.

Soothes Thick Beards and Sensitive Skin
My husband has a very thick beard and sensitive skin—gentle, all-natural products from the health food store still left him red and irritated. But from the VERY FIRST USE, this soap was amazing. No razor burn, no irritation, no angry red bumps. Thank you for helping me take care of the man of the house (and this woman of the house loves it for her bikini line too, with the same smooth, irritation-free results!)

Provides Superior Lubrication and a Smooth, Comfortable Shave
The best thing about this shaving soap is the complete lack of stinging sensation when I rinse off, which I used to get from commercial shave gels. The superior lubrication it provides makes for a very smooth and comfortable shave, even with a couple of days' growth. Using a brush with this soap is also less messy and allows me to see where I'm shaving better without all the glop. In short, there's nothing I don't like about it, and I would highly recommend giving it a try. Your face will thank you.

I use a safety razor every other day, and the lather this soap produces gives me the closest, cleanest, and most comfortable shave I've had in over 50 years! Yes, I’m 72 years old! I've tried many different products in my time and find this one to be the best. I highly recommend trying it and seeing the results for yourself!

As Seen On
About Us
The Jonas family is a God-loving, hard-working, ever-learning family that seeks to honor Jesus in all that we do. We began Goat Milk Stuff to share the goodness of goat milk with others, to bring Jim home full-time, and to provide an environment where the children could learn to be entrepreneurs. As the children and Goat Milk Stuff have grown, we've been able to watch all of these goals come to fruition. We have a very simple philosophy when it comes to parenting and educating our children.
Meet Our Goats
We breed Alpine and Nigerian Dwarf registered dairy goats in Scottsburg, Indiana - only half an hour North of Louisville, Kentucky. Our Alpine dairy goats are raised as naturally as possible. We have a 36 acre farm in Southern Indiana, and the goats spend their days in the woods, in their pastures, or in the barn if there's bad weather. We have approximately 200 Alpine baby goats born every year, and have plenty of baby goats for sale February through April and sometimes after that.
