Persimmon Goat Milk Soap

Persimmon Goat Milk Soap has no added scent, fragrance, or essential oils. It is an unscented goat milk soap made for customers who prefer a simple bar without added perfume or synthetic fragrance.

Unscented soap still has a natural soap smell because the ingredients used to make soap have their own mild aromas. Coconut oil smells like coconut oil, milk smells like milk, and unscented soap smells like unscented soap. We do not add fragrance, and we do not chemically remove the natural aroma of the ingredients.

If you are very sensitive to scents, we recommend starting with a smaller bar first to make sure you like the natural smell of the soap itself.

Please note that we make both scented and unscented products in our Soaproom. While there is no added scent in Persimmon Goat Milk Soap, the outside of the bar or its packaging may pick up a light scent from the air before it reaches you. If that happens, you can remove the packaging and wash with the soap once to rinse away any scent that may have settled on the surface.

Persimmon Goat Milk Soap is a farm-fresh, from-scratch goat milk soap made on our Indiana family farm with raw goat milk from our own herd. It creates a creamy lather and leaves skin feeling clean, soft, and comfortable after washing.

Each full-size Persimmon Goat Milk Soap bar:

We weigh every bar six weeks after making it to make sure it meets our full-size soap standard. As goat milk soap continues to cure and age, it may lose a small amount of water weight, but that is normal. Older bars often become harder and longer-lasting, giving you more washes from each bar.

Raw Goat Milk

Unlike many soap brands, Goat Milk Stuff uses raw goat milk from our own herd of healthy dairy goats. Our milk travels only a few hundred feet from our milking parlor to our soaproom on our Indiana family farm, and it is often turned into soap the same day it is collected. This farm-fresh goat milk helps create the rich, creamy lather and soft, comfortable after-wash feel our customers love.

Natural Fats

Natural fats help create a firm, long-lasting bar of soap with a smooth, creamy lather. They also contribute to the mild, conditioning feel that makes our from-scratch goat milk soap so popular with customers who prefer a simple, traditional bar. During soapmaking, these fats are transformed through saponification into real soap, helping Persimmon Goat Milk Soap cleanse well while leaving skin feeling clean, soft, and comfortable.

Coconut Oil

Coconut oil helps create a bubbly lather and a clean, fresh feel after washing. It is one of the ingredients that gives Persimmon Goat Milk Soap its satisfying wash and classic soap feel. Because this bar is fully saponified, the coconut oil is transformed into soap as part of the soapmaking process.

Sunflower Oil

Like the other oils and fats in our recipe, sunflower oil is saponified during the from-scratch soapmaking process.

Many people are interested in persimmon soap because persimmon is often associated with a clean, fresh personal care routine. In Persimmon Goat Milk Soap, persimmon powder adds a unique ingredient story while keeping the bar simple, unscented, and fragrance-free.

Saponified

Saponification is the chemical reaction that turns oils and fats into real soap. We use sodium hydroxide as the catalyst for our bar soap. During the soapmaking process, the sodium hydroxide reacts with the fats and oils and is fully used up, leaving behind finished soap. That is how our raw goat milk, natural fats, coconut oil, sunflower oil, and persimmon powder become a farm-fresh, from-scratch goat milk soap with a creamy lather and a clean, soft after-wash feel.

1. Wet. Get both your skin and the soap wet.
2. Lather. Use your hands, a washcloth, or rub directly on your skin.
3. Wash. Safe to use on your entire body, including your face and delicate areas. Avoid getting lather directly in your eyes.
4. Rinse. Thoroughly wash off all the soap lather.
5. Store Properly. After using, place the soap on a soap rest to dry thoroughly. This will help it last longer.
6. Patch Test First. This soap should feel fantastic all over your body, except directly in your eyes. To discover any possible allergic reaction, test the soap on a small area of skin first.
