Directions

Purity and Lavender Goat Milk Soap:

  1. Wet: Get both your skin and the soap wet.
  2. Lather. Use your hands, a washcloth, or rub directly on your skin.
  3. Wash. Safe to use on your entire body, including your face and delicate areas. Avoid getting lather directly in your eyes.
  4. Rinse. Thoroughly wash off all the soap lather.
  5. Store Properly. After using, place the soap on a soap rest to dry thoroughly. This will help it last longer.
  6. Patch Test First. If you have sensitive skin or allergies, test the soap on a small area of skin and discontinue if irritation occurs.

Dish Washing Soap:

  1. Use for Handwashing Dishes: Rub the soap bar with a wet sponge, scrub brush, or washcloth to create lather.
  2. Wash Dishes as Usual: Apply the lather to your dirty dishes to clean, effectively cutting through grease.
  3. Keep Soap Dry Between Uses: Place the soap bar on a soap rest to ensure it dries completely, maximizing its lifespan.
  4. Avoid Dishwasher Use: This soap is designed for handwashing dishes, not for use in automatic dishwashing machines.

Rosemary Mint Shampoo:

  1. Focus on Your Scalp: Clean your scalp, not your hair, for optimal results.
  2. Expect Limited Lather: The natural shampoo bars produce a mild lather because there are no chemical foaming agents added. Avoid trying to create a huge lather to prevent heavy or sticky hair.
  3. Use Sparingly: Start with a small amount focused on your scalp. Increase as needed.
  4. Allow Adjustment Period: Your hair may take a few days to a few weeks to adapt to a natural shampoo.
  5. Application Options: You can rub the shampoo directly on your hair or lather in your hands first. Experiment to find your preference and which way works best for you.
  6. Color-Treated Hair. Test first because results can vary. Some people report it extends their
color: "I love the shampoo soap for my hair, helps to keep my colored hair from turning gray for a few weeks longer!"
  7. Read Guidance. If new to shampoo bars, review “Switching to a Natural Shampoo? Here’s What to Expect” for tips.

Optional Conditioner during Transition Period.

  1. Mix together 1 TBSP coconut oil, 1 TBSP raw honey, ½ tsp ground cinnamon.
  2. Wash hair with shampoo bar, rinse well.
  3. Massage 1 tsp (adjust for hair length/thickness) of mixture into scalp and hair.
  4. Let sit 1–2 minutes, then rinse thoroughly.
  5. Use weekly, not daily, to avoid buildup.

Tooth Powder:

  1. Add Tooth Powder: Sprinkle the Tooth Powder directly onto your tongue for easier, faster use with less waste. Or you can sprinkle the Tooth Powder onto a wet toothbrush.
  2. Brush Your Teeth: Use a wet toothbrush to brush your teeth well after applying the Tooth Powder. Rinse your mouth with water and spit out the Tooth Powder. All ingredients are food-quality, so you can decide if it’s safe for young kids who can’t spit well.
  3. Keep It Clean: To avoid germs, never dip a wet toothbrush or wet finger into the Tooth Powder. Always sprinkle the Tooth Powder out of the container.

Vanilla Lip Balm:

  1. Clean Your Lips: Gently wipe or wash your lips to remove dirt or food.
  2. Open the Lip Balm: Twist up or uncap the lip balm container.
  3. Apply the Lip Balm: Glide the balm over your lips in a thin, even layer, covering both upper and lower lips.
  4. Rub Lips Together: Press your lips together gently to spread the balm evenly.
  5. Reapply as Needed: Use throughout the day when lips feel dry or chapped.
  6. Patch Test First: To test for any possible allergic reactions, be sure to conduct a patch test on a small area.

Almond Lotion:

  1. Clean your Skin: The skin where you apply the lotion should be clean and dry.
  2. Open the Lotion Stick: Twist up the solid lotion stick to expose a small amount of the product, similar to using a lip balm tube.
  3. Apply to Skin: Gently swipe the lotion stick directly onto the desired area of your body. For facial use, rub the stick onto clean hands first, then gently smooth the lotion onto your face.
  4. Rub In Thoroughly: Use your hands to massage the lotion into your skin until it is fully absorbed, which should take two minutes or less.
  5. Use Sparingly: Since solid goat milk lotion is not diluted with water, apply a small amount. Your skin should not feel greasy. If it does, you’ve applied too much. Next time, adjust the quantity based on your skin’s needs.
  6. Conduct a Patch Test: If you are allergy-prone or have sensitive skin, apply first to a small area of skin to test for any allergic reactions.
  7. Store Properly: After use, lower the stick back into the tube and secure the cap. We recommend using it all within 6 months. This timeframe can be extended by storing it in a cool, dry place.

Soap Rest:

  1. Place on a Flat Surface: Set the soap rest on a clean, dry sink counter or shower ledge to provide a stable base for your soap.
  2. Position Soap on Rest: Place your goat milk soap bar on the soap rest after use to allow it to drain and dry completely, preventing sogginess.
  3. Keep Counters Clean: Use the soap rest to catch drips and prevent soap scum from forming on your sink or counter surfaces.
  4. Clean as Needed: Periodically rinse the soap rest under water to remove any soap residue and maintain its effectiveness.

Soap Saver:

  1. Insert Soap: Place a full bar of goat milk soap or small soap scraps into the colored soap saver’s mesh pouch, and cinch closed.
  2. Lather Up: Wet the soap saver, then rub it between your hands to create a rich, foamy lather for bathing or cleaning.
  3. Hang to Dry: After use, hang the soap saver by its long string in the shower to allow the soap to dry completely, extending its lifespan.
  4. Clean as Needed: Rinse the soap saver periodically under water to remove residue and maintain its effectiveness.

Wood Scoop:

  1. Measure Laundry Soap: Use the wood scoop to measure 1 tablespoon of Goat Milk Laundry Soap. Heap for extra dirty loads or underfill for smaller loads.
  2. Add to Wash: Add soap to the washing machine soap dispenser.
  3. Store Safely: Keep the wood scoop in a dry place to maintain its condition and prevent moisture damage between uses.

Laundry Soap:

  1. Measure the Soap. Use 1 tablespoon of the Natural Laundry Soap. Add up to 1 extra tbsp for particularly dirty laundry.
  2. Add to Washing Machine. Place the measured laundry soap directly into the soap dispenser of your washing machine. Alternatively, sprinkle the soap directly onto clothes in the drum (but if the load is very full, it may not all dissolve).
  3. Recommended Vinegar Rinse. Add ¼ to ½ cup of white vinegar to the fabric softener dispenser. Vinegar helps to naturally soften clothes, enhance brightness and prevent mineral buildup.
  4. Optional Hydrogen Peroxide. Add up to 1 cup hydrogen peroxide to whiten clothes.
  5. Wash as Usual. Use hot or cold water, as the soap is effective in both cycles. Run the washing machine according to your normal settings.

Meet Our Goats

We breed Alpine and Nigerian Dwarf registered dairy goats in Scottsburg, Indiana - only half an hour North of Louisville, Kentucky. Our Alpine dairy goats are raised as naturally as possible. We have a 36 acre farm in Southern Indiana, and the goats spend their days in the woods, in their pastures, or in the barn if there's bad weather.

Baby goats are raised on their mom's colostrum and goat milk. Babies are weaned around 3-4 months old. Since the moms are milked for about 10 months, there is plenty of excess milk to use in our goat milk products.
