Description
In 2018, we celebrated the wedding of our daughter, Brett Jonas, to Mason Werst, in part with the creation of a custom soap we named "The Werst Soap Ever." It's a custom scent that has hints of citrus, a touch of sweetness, and a light floral undertone. The happy couple tested lots of different scents that Colter created for them and this was the favorite one. A lot of people loved it and so we are bringing it back every year as a limited edition soap. We hope you enjoy this Werst Soap Ever!

Ingredients
Ingredients
Raw goat milk; Saponified natural fats, coconut oil, sunflower oil; Werst Ever fragrance oil (paraben-free and phthalate-free); Natural color.
Raw Goat Milk
Unlike our competitors, we only use goat milk from our own herd of healthy, pastured dairy goats. Our milk travels several hundred feet from our milking parlor to our soaproom. It isn't transported hundreds of miles and it's often turned into soap the same day it is collected. This ultra-fresh milk is as healthy as possible and is high in skin-nourishing ingredients like Selenium, Vitamin A, and Lactic Acid.
Natural Fats
Lard contains a blend of fatty acids, including oleic, palmitic, and lauric acids, which nourish and protect the skin. It is also a rich source of vitamins A and D, both essential for skin health. These vitamins promote cell repair, reduce inflammation, and guard against environmental damage. Glycerin is a natural humectant that helps the skin retain moisture, making lard glycerides particularly beneficial for dry or sensitive skin. Studies also indicate that lard glycerides have mild antimicrobial properties, supporting skin health and reducing acne-causing bacteria.
Coconut Oil
Coconut oil is a natural moisturizer that can make your skin feel soft and smooth. Coconut oil has antimicrobial properties, antibacterial and anti-inflammatory properties that can help treat skin conditions like acne, eczema, and psoriasis. Coconut oil has a small amount of natural SPF, so it can provide some minor sun protection for your skin. Coconut oil contains vitamin E, which can help even out your skin tone and reduce dark spots.
Sunflower Oil
Sunflower oil is known for its nourishing and moisturizing properties. It has vitamin E, which is great for moisturizing your skin. It has a type of fatty acid called linoleic acid that can help improve your skin's natural barrier and reduce fine lines and wrinkles. It has lots of antioxidants that can help protect your skin from damage caused by the sun and pollution. If your skin is irritated and itchy, sunflower oil can help calm it down. It has anti-inflammatory properties that can reduce redness and swelling.
Fragrance Oils
Some of our most popular goat milk soaps are scented with fragrance oils. These scents can't be derived from plants and need to be created with a synthetic component. All fragrance oils are certified paraben-free and phthalate-free.
Natural Color
We use natural colors in our soaps to help them to be more distinctive so they can be more easily identified. We use different herbs and spices such as alfalfa (green), turmeric (yellow), or beet root powder (red). When herbs and spices can’t achieve the desired color, we use ultramarines. For example, our blue ultramarine is made from natural lapis lazuli.
Saponified
Saponification is the chemical soapmaking reaction that turns the ingredients into soap. We use sodium hydroxide as the catalyst for bar soap and potassium hydroxide as the catalyst for liquid soap. Neither of these ingredients are left in the finished soap. They have all been used up in the saponification reaction and turned into soap.
Directions
Directions
- Wet. Get both your skin and the soap wet.
- Lather. Use your hands, a washcloth, or rub directly on your skin.
- Wash. Safe to use on your entire body, including your face and delicate areas. Avoid getting lather directly in your eyes.
- Rinse. Thoroughly wash off all the soap lather.
- Store Properly. After using, place the soap on a soap rest to dry thoroughly. This will help it last longer.
- Patch Test First. If you have sensitive skin or allergies, test the soap on a small area of skin and discontinue if irritation occurs.

The soap that fills my home with joy
"My nose smelled the most wonderful scent coming from my goats milk stuff package. I just smiled to myself and sniffed the package. This is my Werst soap. It smelled like spring time and citrus, such a yummy sent. The aroma fills the air. I hate to throw out the package it comes in cause it smells so good. So I leave it on the table for a few days enjoying the sent when I walk in the room. And the bathroom smells so refreshing from just having the soap. My husband says he loves the smell too."

About Us
The Jonas family is a God-loving, hard-working, ever-learning family that seeks to honor Jesus in all that we do. We began Goat Milk Stuff to share the goodness of goat milk with others, to bring Jim home full-time, and to provide an environment where the children could learn to be entrepreneurs. As the children and Goat Milk Stuff have grown, we've been able to watch all of these goals come to fruition. We have a very simple philosophy when it comes to parenting and educating our children.

Meet Our Goats
We breed Alpine and Nigerian Dwarf registered dairy goats in Scottsburg, Indiana - only half an hour North of Louisville, Kentucky. Our Alpine dairy goats are raised as naturally as possible. We have a 36 acre farm in Southern Indiana, and the goats spend their days in the woods, in their pastures, or in the barn if there's bad weather.
Baby goats are raised on their mom's colostrum and goat milk. Babies are weaned around 3-4 months old. Since the moms are milked for about 10 months, there is plenty of excess milk to use in our goat milk products.
