Are the Colors in Your Goat Milk Soap Safe?

Natural and handmade soaps are gaining popularity as people think they are superior to factory-produced ones. Among the various natural soaps, goat milk soap has drawn a lot of interest since it can keep your skin moisturized and benefits those with sensitive skin. Many, however, are concerned about the safety of the colors used in goat milk soap.

There is an increase in demand for natural and organic goods like natural soaps. But everyone still enjoys fun colored soaps. For this reason, many soap manufacturers are now coloring their soaps using natural colors. Many believe synthetic colorants are more dangerous than natural colors from plants, herbs, clays, and other natural elements.

In this article, we'll discuss the safety of the colors and provide some examples of natural coloring used in goat milk soap production.

"I am so impressed!! I have super sensitive skin and have wasted so much money trying to find the perfect soap. I’m happy to say I finally found it! This soap (Lavender) is safe, smells amazing and left my skin feeling soft and clean." - Megan G.

Artificial Colors and Your Skin

Artificial colors are made by combining chemicals. 25 synthetic components can, for example, create one synthetic color. For instance, purple may contain more than 50 synthetic compounds.

For a very long time, artificial colors have been used to improve the appearance of objects. For decades, the food business has used vividly colored foods with artificial dyes as a marketing strategy. Businesses are aware that color helps things appear attractive. Also, color influences how we feel and how we see the world. You will see a kaleidoscope of colors when you look at the skin care products you use, like shampoo, soap, lotion, and makeup. Unfortunately, most skin care products are tinted with synthetic dyes.

Several artificial colors are created using petroleum, coal tar, or salts of toxic metals like lead and arsenic. Artificial color absorption by our skin can result in sensitivities, acne, clogged pores, and irritation. Yet, certain artificial colors are more dangerous than others.

Toxins from artificial colors can stay on your skin and increase sensitivity and irritability. These substances can enter your body and cause extra harm. They may also clog your pores, increasing your risk of developing acne. According to research, coal tar dyes can lead to cancer. In addition, it damages the nerve cells responsible for allergic reactions.

The Dangers of Dyes and Artificial Colors

Synthetic colors and dyes are added to products like soap, shower gel, shampoo, conditioner, face wash, self-tanner, and so forth to give them a cute color. The outcomes, however, aren't adorable at all.

The hues have an odd ability to conceal a lot. Most people are unaware that these synthetic hues are often made of dangerous materials. So it's extremely difficult to determine what you're putting on your skin, regardless of what an ingredient list claims.

Maintaining healthy skin and abstaining from applying anything potentially detrimental to it is crucial. Remember that some dangerous chemicals still enter your system despite your skin working hard to prevent such.

Your skin will only take care of you if you take care of it. You can rely on Goat Milk Stuff soaps that contain safe components to help you maintain healthy skin because your skin plays a significant role in your immune system.

Natural Colors Used by Goat Milk Stuff

We add color to some of our goat milk soaps to help you identify our different soaps.

We do not color our goat milk soaps with dyes or artificial colors. Instead, we color the soaps naturally using food coloring (such as alfalfa or beet powder), oxides, micas, and ultramarines.

All of the ingredients we use to color the soaps are all natural. Oxides and ultramarines are just examples of pigments excavatable from the ground. We get them from a chemist to ensure their cleanliness.

Although we also sell some fragrance-oil-scented soaps in addition to our essential oil and unscented soaps, we ensure that all fragrance oils we use are paraben-free and phthalate-free.
