Great on Whites

Love this soap. Clothes are clean, fresh and smell great. I use a clothes line and when I bring the clothes in, they smell amazing. Really great on my whites.

If you wish to make your own laundry soap powder, this is the best soap to use in your recipe. It would replace the Fels-Naptha* or Zote* in most recipes. This Goat Milk Laundry Soap Bar measures 3.5" x 1.75" x 2" and weighs between 5 and 6 ounces. It does not have any scent or optical brighteners added to it.

Goat Milk Laundry Soap Bar Directions

Use a hand grater or food processor to shred and powder the laundry soap bar. Combine with other ingredients according to the recipe you are using.

When making your own laundry soap powder, we recommend you start with 1 part washing soda to 1 part borax to 1 part grated Goat Milk Laundry Soap Bar. It is better if you do the parts by weight (for example, 5 oz washing soda, 5 oz borax, and 5 oz grated Goat Milk Laundry Soap Bar). But if you don't have a scale, you can do volume as well (1 cup of each).

You can adjust this recipe if you have very hard water by adding more washing soda (water softener). If you need more cleansing, increase the soap and borax.

We also add some baking soda to our laundry soap powder for odor control. You can experiment with the amount of baking soda if you find that odor is an issue.

Goat Milk Laundry Soap Bar Ingredients

Saponified Natural Fats, Goat Milk.

A Note About Safety: When grating, use care to protect your eyes. Gloves may be used if there is any possible allergic reaction while holding the soap. While this is simple, natural soap, it is for laundry use, not on your body. For bathing and handwashing, please try one of our different recipes that work well with your skin.

Zote is a trademarked brand owned by Fabrica de Jabon La Corona S.A. de C.V., a Mexican company. Meet Our Goats

We breed Alpine and Nigerian Dwarf registered dairy goats in Scottsburg, Indiana - only half an hour North of Louisville, Kentucky. Our Alpine dairy goats are raised as naturally as possible. We have a 36 acre farm in Southern Indiana, and the goats spend their days in the woods, in their pastures, or in the barn if there's bad weather. We have approximately 200 Alpine baby goats born every year, and have plenty of baby goats for sale February through April and sometimes after that.
