Scent

Purity soap has no added scent.

The unscented soap varieties smell like soap, yet do not have any added scents or fragrances (including essential oils!) to reduce the risk of irritation. Unscented soap does still have a smell because the ingredients used in soap production contain natural scents that we do not chemically remove. For example, coconut oil smells like coconut oil, milk smells like milk, and unscented soap smells like unscented soap.

If you are hyper-sensitive to scents in general, start with a smaller sized bar to make sure the pure soap smell itself is not irritating.

Please be aware that we make many scented products in our Soaproom. While there is no added scent to the Purity Goat Milk Soap itself, when you receive your soap you may be able to smell scents on the exterior of your soap and the packaging it arrives in. If you are extremely sensitive to scent, you can remove the packaging and even wash with the soap once to remove any scent that may have settled out of the air onto your soap.

We would love to someday have a separate building dedicated to unscented products and packaging, but unfortunately, we don't have that ability at present.

Size

  • Weighs between 4.0 and 4.8 ounces
  • Measures approximately 3.5" x 1" x 2"
  • Packaged in a labeled, draw-string, cotton bag

We weigh all soaps six weeks after we make them to make sure they’re heavy enough. As the soaps get older, they last longer. But they might get a bit lighter over time because they lose some water weight.

Benefits

Goat milk soap provides many skin benefits, and the miracle of goat milk soap lies in the lactic acid, Vitamin A, Selenium, and other compounds it naturally contains. Lactic acid is a natural alpha-hydroxy acid that gently exfoliates the skin, revealing a youthful and radiant complexion. In addition to lactic acid’s anti-aging properties, goat milk also contains antioxidants, reducing the skin’s oxidative stress (did you know oxidative stress leads to premature aging?). All of these natural benefits are still gentle, meaning unscented goat milk soap can still be enjoyed by people with sensitive skin or skin conditions.

Skin health is amplified by the naturally occurring minerals of the milk, such as Selenium and Vitamin A, which help in the repair of sun-damaged skin. Goat milk also contains cream that is incredibly nourishing and moisturizing, which assists in common skin problems like cracking, peeling, and eczema. Unscented goat milk soap thoroughly cleans and moisturizes your skin, while also caring for common skin concerns, all without added harsh chemicals.

Ingredients

Raw goat milk; Saponified natural fats, coconut oil, sunflower oil.

Raw Goat Milk

Unlike our competitors, we only use goat milk from our own herd of healthy, pastured dairy goats. Our milk travels several hundred feet from our milking parlor to our soaproom. It isn't transported hundreds of miles and it's often turned into soap the same day it is collected. This ultra-fresh milk is as healthy as possible and is high in skin-nourishing ingredients like Selenium, Vitamin A, and Lactic Acid.

Natural Fats

Lard contains a blend of fatty acids, including oleic, palmitic, and lauric acids, which nourish and protect the skin. It is also a rich source of vitamins A and D, both essential for skin health. These vitamins promote cell repair, reduce inflammation, and guard against environmental damage. Glycerin is a natural humectant that helps the skin retain moisture, making lard glycerides particularly beneficial for dry or sensitive skin. Studies also indicate that lard glycerides have mild antimicrobial properties, supporting skin health and reducing acne-causing bacteria.

Coconut Oil
Coconut oil is a natural moisturizer that can make your skin feel soft and smooth. Coconut oil has antimicrobial properties, antibacterial and anti-inflammatory properties that can help treat skin conditions like acne, eczema, and psoriasis. Coconut oil has a small amount of natural SPF, so it can provide some minor sun protection for your skin. Coconut oil contains vitamin E, which can help even out your skin tone and reduce dark spots.

Sunflower Oil
Sunflower oil is known for its nourishing and moisturizing properties. It has vitamin E, which is great for moisturizing your skin. It has a type of fatty acid called linoleic acid that can help improve your skin's natural barrier and reduce fine lines and wrinkles. It has lots of antioxidants that can help protect your skin from damage caused by the sun and pollution. If your skin is irritated and itchy, sunflower oil can help calm it down. It has anti-inflammatory properties that can reduce redness and swelling.

Saponified

Saponification is the chemical soapmaking reaction that turns the ingredients into soap. We use sodium hydroxide as the catalyst for bar soap and potassium hydroxide as the catalyst for liquid soap. Neither of these ingredients are left in the finished soap. They have all been used up in the saponification reaction and turned into soap.

Directions

  1. Wet. Get both your skin and the soap wet.
  2. Lather. Use your hands, a washcloth, or rub directly on your skin.
  3. Wash. Safe to use on your entire body, including your face and delicate areas. Avoid getting lather directly in your eyes.
  4. Rinse. Thoroughly wash off all the soap lather.
  5. Store Properly. After using, place the soap on a soap rest to dry thoroughly. This will help it last longer.
  6. Patch Test First. If you have sensitive skin or allergies, test the soap on a small area of skin and discontinue if irritation occurs.

Does Purity Goat Milk Soap have any scent?

Purity does not have any added scent to it, but it does still smell like soap.

What skin types is Purity Goat Milk Soap good for?

It’s great for all skin types, especially sensitive skin or those with conditions like eczema or psoriasis.

Purity Goat Milk Soap is formulated to benefit a wide range of skin types, but it shines for those with sensitive or problem skin. Its simple, chemical-free ingredients—raw goat milk, coconut oil, and sunflower oil—make it a go-to for people with eczema, psoriasis, or fragrance sensitivities.

The soap’s natural alpha-hydroxy acids gently exfoliate dead skin cells, while fatty acids and proteins create a moisture barrier, locking in hydration. Customers with dry, irritated, or reactive skin often report relief after switching to Purity, and its gentle nature even makes it suitable for babies or those seeking a no-frills, nourishing cleanse.

How should I store my Purity Goat Milk Soap?

Keep it in a dry, well-ventilated, not in direct sunlight area and away from water when not in use.

To ensure your Purity Goat Milk Soap lasts as long as possible, store it in a dry, well-ventilated spot away from moisture when you’re not using it. Goat milk soap, like the cold-processed bars from Goat Milk Stuff, can soften or dissolve faster if left in standing water, such as a soggy shower dish.

After use, place it on a draining soap dish or a dry surface where air can circulate around it, helping it harden and extend its life. Avoid humid areas like an enclosed bathroom cabinet if possible, and if you’ve bought a Mega or Standard size, consider cutting it into smaller pieces to use one at a time while keeping the rest sealed in its original cotton bag or a dry container until needed.

Is Purity safe to use on my face?

Absolutely! As long as you aren't allergic to the soap, it is very moisturizing.

Purity soap is safe to use on your face, hands, and body. If you are concerned you may be allergic, please test on a small patch of skin first. If no allergies or sensitivities are present, the Purity goat milk soap should leave your face clean, soft, and lightly exfoliated.

How does Purity Goat Milk Soap help with eczema?

It soothes eczema by removing harsh chemicals and locking in moisture with goat milk’s natural properties.

Purity Goat Milk Soap is a popular choice for eczema sufferers due to its gentle, chemical-free formula. It contains no added fragrances, colors, or harmful additives that could irritate sensitive skin. The raw goat milk provides alpha-hydroxy acids to gently slough off dead skin cells, reducing irritation, while its fatty acids and proteins form a moisture barrier to keep skin hydrated and prevent painful flare-ups.

Many customers notice relief from eczema symptoms within a week of consistent use, simply by replacing their regular soap with Purity. For best results, pair it with other natural products to eliminate chemical exposure from your routine.

Why choose Purity Goat Milk Soap over other soaps?

It’s natural, unscented, and packed with goat milk benefits for healthier skin.

Purity Goat Milk Soap stands out because it skips the harsh chemicals, synthetic fragrances, and artificial colors found in many commercial soaps, offering a pure, natural alternative. Made with raw goat milk from a family farm, it’s rich in vitamins, alpha-hydroxy acids, and minerals that nourish and hydrate your skin. The cold-process method preserves these benefits, delivering a creamy lather that cleanses without drying you out.

Whether you’re battling skin conditions like eczema or just want a gentle, effective soap, Purity’s simplicity and quality make it a standout choice—backed by countless customer stories of softer, healthier skin after just days of use.

Meet Our Goats

We breed Alpine and Nigerian Dwarf registered dairy goats in Scottsburg, Indiana - only half an hour North of Louisville, Kentucky. Our Alpine dairy goats are raised as naturally as possible. We have a 36 acre farm in Southern Indiana, and the goats spend their days in the woods, in their pastures, or in the barn if there's bad weather.

Baby goats are raised on their mom's colostrum and goat milk. Babies are weaned around 3-4 months old. Since the moms are milked for about 10 months, there is plenty of excess milk to use in our goat milk products.
