Each Pet Bar Unscented Goat Milk Soap is available in a variety of sizes to suit your personal preferences. All soaps are weighed and meet the minimum weight six weeks after being made. As they continue to age and cure, they will last even longer although they may lose water weight, causing them to be slightly lighter.

Raw Goat Milk
Unlike our competitors, we only use goat milk from our own herd of healthy, pastured dairy goats. Our milk travels several hundred feet from our milking parlor to our soaproom. It isn't transported hundreds of miles and it's often turned into soap the same day it is collected. This ultra-fresh milk is as healthy as possible and is high in skin-nourishing ingredients like Selenium, Vitamin A, and Lactic Acid.

Sustainable Palm Oil
Palm oil has great cleansing properties, making it effective at removing dirt, oils, and impurities from the skin. It creates a creamy and stable lather in soap, making the soap rich and foamy! It can help retain moisture in the skin by forming a protective barrier. It contributes to the durability and longevity of the soap, making it less likely to dissolve or become mushy when in contact with water. Sustainable palm oil production helps to end deforestation, protect wildlife and habitats, and treat local people fairly. 

Coconut Oil
Coconut oil is a natural moisturizer that can make your skin feel soft and smooth. Coconut oil has antimicrobial properties, antibacterial and anti-inflammatory properties that can help treat skin conditions like acne, eczema, and psoriasis. Coconut oil has a small amount of natural SPF, so it can provide some minor sun protection for your skin. Coconut oil contains vitamin E, which can help even out your skin tone and reduce dark spots.

Olive Oil
Olive oil is a natural emollient, and can keep your skin hydrated and nourished. Its healthy fats can penetrate deeply into your skin, leaving it soft and supple. It is packed with antioxidants like vitamin E and polyphenols that can help neutralize free radicals and reduce inflammation caused by sun damage. This can help prevent signs of aging like wrinkles and fine lines. It contains anti-inflammatory compounds that can help soothe your skin as well as natural antimicrobial compounds that can help fight bacteria on your skin. 

Castor Oil
If you have acne, rosacea, or any other inflammatory skin condition, castor oil's anti-inflammatory properties can help soothe your skin and reduce redness. It contains antimicrobial and antibacterial properties that can help prevent bacteria growth on your skin, which can help you avoid skin infections and breakouts. Castor oil is rich in antioxidants that can reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles on your skin. 

Aloe
Aloe is excellent for dry or irritated skin because it contains polysaccharides that can retain moisture. It also contains anti-inflammatory properties and can help soothe and reduce redness, swelling, and pain from razor burn. It promotes collagen production which helps to heal any minor cuts and nicks from shaving. It also has anti-bacterial properties which aids in preventing skin infections.

Saponified
Saponification is the chemical soapmaking reaction that turns the ingredients into soap. We use sodium hydroxide as the catalyst for bar soap and potassium hydroxide as the catalyst for liquid soap. Neither of these ingredients are left in the finished soap. They have all been used up in the saponification reaction and turned into soap. 

Pet Bar Unscented soap has no added scent.

The unscented soap varieties smell like soap, yet do not have any added scents or fragrances (including essential oils!) to reduce the risk of irritation. Unscented soap does still have a smell because the ingredients used in soap production contain natural scents that we do not chemically remove. For example, coconut oil smells like coconut oil, milk smells like milk, and unscented soap smells like unscented soap.

If you are hyper-sensitive to scents in general, start with a smaller sized bar to make sure the pure soap smell itself is not irritating.

Please be aware that we make many scented products in our Soaproom. While there is no added scent to the Pet Bar Unscented Goat Milk Soap itself, when you receive your soap you may be able to smell scents on the exterior of your soap and the packaging it arrives in. If you are extremely sensitive to scent, you can remove the packaging and even wash with the soap once to remove any scent that may have settled out of the air onto your soap.

We would love to someday have a separate building dedicated to unscented products and packaging, but unfortunately, we don't have that ability at present.

Adding goat milk to pet soap provides many benefits for your pet's skin. Goat milk contains lactic acid. This alpha-hydroxy acid helps naturally exfoliate your pet's skin so that dead skin cells don't build up and lead to irritation.
