Description

Tea Tree Travel Goat Milk Soap delivers a crisp, invigorating tea tree scent, promoting a refreshed feeling. Handcrafted with fresh goat milk from our cherished, pastured goats, this natural soap creates a creamy lather that gently cleanses without stripping your skin’s moisture.

Free of harmful chemicals, it’s perfect for sensitive skin and safe for face, hands, and body. This travel-sized bar leaves skin clean, soft, and revitalized. If you’re not allergic to any ingredients, enjoy its nourishing, soothing benefits on the go.

Scent

Crisp and clean, the Tea Tree scent is strong, camphor-like, and slightly medicinal thanks to its variety of healing phytochemicals. Derived from the leaves of Melaleuca alternifolia, a small tree native to Australia, Tea Tree oil is believed to have antibacterial, anti-fungal, and anti-inflammatory properties. In fact, our Tea Tree goat milk soap is a top pick for those with acne and psoriasis.

Somewhat similar in smell to peppermint and eucalyptus, Tea Tree is sometimes used as a natural deodorant. In addition to cleaning and soothing your skin, it will keep you smelling clean and fresh while helping you feel renewed and invigorated.

Size

  • Weighs 1 to 1.25 ounces
  • Measures approximately 1" x 1" x 2"
  • Packaged in a plastic bag with an id card

We weigh all soaps six weeks after we make them to make sure they’re heavy enough. As the soaps get older, they last longer. But they might get a bit lighter over time because they lose some water weight.

Benefits

The chemical compounds in tea tree essential oil may help fight harmful bacteria and fungi that can cause infections, inflammation, and skin problems like acne (or even athlete's foot). Tea tree is estimated to have over 98 such helpful compounds. It often acts as nature’s antidote for helping with just about anything, ranging from the common cold to nail inflammation, and from bug bites to bad breath. It has even been believed to boost the immune system by improving blood circulation and forming a protective barrier against diseases.

Historically, tea tree oil has been used as an antiseptic because it guards the skin against damaging microorganisms. In 1770, Aborigines of Australia introduced Captain Cook to tea tree. They supposedly (according to the internet) told him of its “magical healing powers” and showed him how to apply it to various wounds and sores suffered by his crew. Almost two centuries later, tea tree oil was administered to WWII soldiers for all kinds of scrapes, burns, and infections. It is still widely utilized for treating skin conditions both reactively and preventatively and has spanned into the worlds of aromatherapy, cleaning products, and fighting mold.

We’ve maximized the goodness of our goat milk soap by adding this wonderful essential oil. Goat milk soap is creamy, rich, and filled with wholesome ingredients that replenish and protect your skin, maintaining its natural biome. This soap is a natural alternative to detergent-heavy synthetic soaps that dry out your skin and throw off its true balance.

This product has not been evaluated by the FDA.

Ingredients

Raw goat milk; Saponified natural fats, coconut oil, sunflower oil; Tea tree essential oil, green tea powder.

Raw Goat Milk
Unlike our competitors, we only use goat milk from our own herd of healthy, pastured dairy goats. Our milk travels several hundred feet from our milking parlor to our soaproom. It isn't transported hundreds of miles and it's often turned into soap the same day it is collected. This ultra-fresh milk is as healthy as possible and is high in skin-nourishing ingredients like Selenium, Vitamin A, and Lactic Acid.

Natural Fats
Lard contains a blend of fatty acids, including oleic, palmitic, and lauric acids, which nourish and protect the skin. It is also a rich source of vitamins A and D, both essential for skin health. These vitamins promote cell repair, reduce inflammation, and guard against environmental damage. Glycerin is a natural humectant that helps the skin retain moisture, making lard glycerides particularly beneficial for dry or sensitive skin. Studies also indicate that lard glycerides have mild antimicrobial properties, supporting skin health and reducing acne-causing bacteria.

Coconut Oil
Coconut oil is a natural moisturizer that can make your skin feel soft and smooth. Coconut oil has antimicrobial properties, antibacterial and anti-inflammatory properties that can help treat skin conditions like acne, eczema, and psoriasis. Coconut oil has a small amount of natural SPF, so it can provide some minor sun protection for your skin. Coconut oil contains vitamin E, which can help even out your skin tone and reduce dark spots.

Sunflower Oil
Sunflower oil is known for its nourishing and moisturizing properties. It has vitamin E, which is great for moisturizing your skin. It has a type of fatty acid called linoleic acid that can help improve your skin's natural barrier and reduce fine lines and wrinkles. It has lots of antioxidants that can help protect your skin from damage caused by the sun and pollution. If your skin is irritated and itchy, sunflower oil can help calm it down. It has anti-inflammatory properties that can reduce redness and swelling.

Tea Tree Essential Oil
Tea Tree essential oil contains compounds with powerful antibacterial, antifungal and anti-inflammatory properties. Studies show it may be as effective as benzoyl peroxide, a common acne medication, in treating acne. Its antifungal properties can disrupt the growth of fungal spores, paving the way for healthy skin and nails free of fungal infections. Tea tree oil can soothe itchy scalp and help relieve dandruff. Its antibacterial properties can prevent infection, while its anti-inflammatory action can reduce redness and swelling in cuts, scrapes, and burns.

Saponified
Saponification is the chemical soapmaking reaction that turns the ingredients into soap. We use sodium hydroxide as the catalyst for bar soap and potassium hydroxide as the catalyst for liquid soap. Neither of these ingredients are left in the finished soap. They have all been used up in the saponification reaction and turned into soap.

Directions

  1. Wet. Get both your skin and the soap wet.
  2. Lather. Use your hands, a washcloth, or rub directly on your skin.
  3. Wash. Safe to use on your entire body, including your face and delicate areas. Avoid getting lather directly in your eyes.
  4. Rinse. Thoroughly wash off all the soap lather.
  5. Store Properly. After using, place the soap on a soap rest to dry thoroughly. This will help it last longer.
  6. Patch Test First. If you have sensitive skin or allergies, test the soap on a small area of skin and discontinue if irritation occurs.

Meet Our Goats

We breed Alpine and Nigerian Dwarf registered dairy goats in Scottsburg, Indiana - only half an hour North of Louisville, Kentucky. Our Alpine dairy goats are raised as naturally as possible. We have a 36 acre farm in Southern Indiana, and the goats spend their days in the woods, in their pastures, or in the barn if there's bad weather.

Baby goats are raised on their mom's colostrum and goat milk. Babies are weaned around 3-4 months old. Since the moms are milked for about 10 months, there is plenty of excess milk to use in our goat milk products.
